Staffordshire University KDS is an active member of the Karate-Do Shotokai (KDS) association whose principal and chief instructor is Mitsusuke Harada Sensei
From the late 1980's until the early 1990's Stoke-on-Trent KDS was a small club practicing in local community centres. In 1994 the club made the decision to move into Staffordshire University and officially became Staffordshire University KDS. Membership increased and the club has gone from strength to strength.
The club has hosted many events over the years with delegates attending from all over Britain and Europe and we have also been very fortunate to have Harada Sensei himself visit on many occasions.
